IPv6 has better built-in security (IPsec mandatory). IPv4 requires NAT for security. IPv6 is the future but not fully adopted yet.

Both work now. IPv6 is technically better but not universally supported. Most sites use both. Important: disable IPv6 if using VPN - it can leak your real IP.
